More a tip than a review. I couldn't make sense of the different versions and model numbers for this grinder as listed here. The different colors are actually different models, though that's a bit hard to see from this listing. Here's what the Capresso web site says:
Infinity Conical Burr Grinder Model #565.05 (metal, stainless steel finish)
Infinity Conical Burr Grinder Model #560.04 (ABS plastic, stainless finish)
Infinity Conical Burr Grinder Model #560.01 (ABS plastic, black)
So if you want the metal housing, pick stainless steel. The model number changes in the Product Details based on your color pick.
My star rating is meaningless, as I've not used the grinder yet. Just ordered the 565.05 now that I understand which model is which. Hopefully this helps someone else.

Grinds very well, VERY quiet compared to the Braun I replaced. Only problem is the amount of static electricity it generates grinding. Static causes grounds to stick to the plastic and coffee ends up everywhere. If not for this I would have given it 5 stars.

I recently purchased this grinder to replace our old Cuisinart one which stopped working. I like the fact that it runs more quietly than our old one, but when you try to remove the container of grounds, they fly everywhere. I have to clean my kitchen counter( and sometimes the floor) every time we grind coffee. This is a very poor feature and I think they need to place a cover on the grounds container to decrease the mess! I have returned this item and will not purchase another one from this company until they improve the "mess factor!"

I have no regrets buying this one. But when it burns out I will not buy another one like it. I want to get a quieter ones. It ishard to know which is quiet and which is noisy but in a store sometimes you can try it out. Not worth returning. The coffee is very good and it is very easy to control the grind size which is the important part. I just have to remember to grind the night before so that I don't wake up other people in the house if I get up early and want some coffee....

I've had many experiences with grinders in the past 15 years. Ranging from cheap $15-30 grinders and more expensive $100 dollar grinders such as the Capresso Infinity. When I purchase a grinder, I expect it to last for as many years as the price of the grinder, divided by 10 (if I pay $30 for a grinder, I expect it to last about 3 years, and so on). In the past, my Bunn, Black & Decker, and Starbucks Coffee grinders have lasted roughly 5 years and cost between $30-50 each. This grinder - in which I paid almost $100 for on Amazon, broke after 15 months. In fact, it broke far before that, as a piece of the plastic cylindrical bin chipped off after about 13 months, causing me to think that it was the reason for the entire grinder to stop working (it was near the base, where you adjust how fine a grind you want by turning this cylinder). I probably should have realized then that this product is not as well-made as they say it is. Because of this, I ordered a new plastic bin for $5 from the company, plus another $5 for shipping. That did not fix my problem either. Essentially, when I turn the timer on, nothing happens. It just tick-tick-ticks away while the grinder motor sits. If I press really really REALLY hard down on the bin and hold it in one specific spot for the entire time the timer is ticking, I can get it to grind for about 15 seconds at a time before going through the process again.
Although I know that there is only a one-year warranty on this product, I was very surprised to hear that they were not willing to work with someone who paid $100 for the item and had it break only a few months after warranty. I do not recommend this product nor this company to anyone, as - while the quality of the grind was exceptional - I cannot afford to purchase a new, $100 grinder every year to replace the old one. I'll be purchasing a cheaper grinder in the future, with the understanding that it might not last that long (but will definitely last longer than this one!).
