Finally decided to post my 2 cents as I find myself looking for a replacement every time i browse Amazon. I got it a few months back to replace an older Keurig mostly because i wanted something a bit quieter but also because of the de signas the stainless matched our kitchen.



Good thing the design is pleasant because this thing is twice as noisy as the last one. It rattles and shakes so badly it even moves along the counter.



Would have replaced it already were it not for how much it cost. (great deal on Amazon but still...

We very much like the convenience of single cup brewing. This Breville sits next to our Breville electric kettle and looks great. Comes with assorted Kcups, and while we explore which Kcup brand we prefer, are consuming our Java One pod inventory by emptying them into the brewing basket provided. It's all good! EVEN BETTER, the 3rd & last Senseo to enter this house has left the building!

Keurig makes the insides of all brewers that use k-cups. If you have trouble with a brewer--Breville or Keurig--short-cupping or exploding (giving you a cup of coffee grinds and a mess!), try this:



Place the k-cup in the holder and use both thumbs to push down the k-cup until the bottom needle pierces it (you will hear it). THEN lower the handle. I found the coffee brews better and the mishaps are less.



I live at 7500 ft so air pressure needs releaved, especially on EB k-cups or poofy or rounded. Now I do it all the time with any k-cup and find it is a better way.

Purchased this unit for the ease of use and it worked as intended for less than 100 cups. At that point the volume dropped to 1/4 of intended. I checked the needle and contacted service by phone after all efforts to correct the problem had failed and all they had to offer was put a paperclip in the needle. I cannot tell you how disappointed I have been in the maker. But more importantly in "breville service" if they really have such a department. I understand things happen when you relie on low bid parts, but I also expect that when a customer calls and explains the problem that someone would eventually have more to offer than put a paperclip in the needle. That is not the problem! There must be a check valve that allows water into the heating chamber and that when heated the water expands and said valve prevents (or in my case not) the water from returning to the reservoir. Mine is broken, and has been for months. It failed withing the first 100 brews. I don't expect though I did deserve to have the unit replaced but I do expect that a $300 coffee pot not be disposable over a part that is likely less than a quarter.

I have no disposable time during the week so when the odd weekend comes to relax I find my crippled friend on the counter and call to get the same recordings. "Breville Service" pardon the oxymoron. My advice buy a non Breville coffee maker that you won't mind throwing away. Breville trades on appearance and the perception of quality, but they just don't care if it doesn't work. Remember it takes coffee and hot water to create what you want.

It worked fine for a while, but after a couple months it started either randomly not dispensing coffee, only dispensing a little bit, or dispensing too much. The machine still works, but you have to watch it while it works, as you never know how much coffee is going to come out of it, if at all. I've tried multiple cleaning cycles, even with vinegar in case it had somehow clogged, but it seems to be an electronics control issue.



Considering the price premium, it is quite disappointing... Should have bought a much cheaper machine. Still looks nice though.
